Messaging a SAR Requestor

You can keep all your SAR work in one place. 2-way messaging gives SAR requestors and owners a way to message and share files via the Privacy Portal. Keeping communications, files and updates about a SAR in one place.

Please Note: You must have set up the privacy portal when creating your SAR to use 2-way messaging.

Sending a message to a requestor

  1. Choose from your SAR list the one you want to message the requestor for.

  2. Go to the Privacy Portal tab to send a message to the subject.

  3. If you require documents back from the requestor check Attachments Enabled.

  4. Select within the Messaging text box and enter your message.

    • You can use basic stying for your message. This includes text formats, list options and hyperlinks.

  5. Select Send.

All responses can be found in the same Messaging area of the SAR. You will be notified of any new messages.

Requestors will also receive an email notification about a message and how to access it. They can reply to messages, submit documents, see the status and review SAR policies from the Privacy Portal.
